Welcome To Dolores Huerta Preparatory High

In the Fall of 2004 Dolores Huerta Preparatory High, a tuition free public charter school, was founded with the vision of being a Comprehensive Early College High School where students can not only obtain their High School Diploma but a two-year college degree as well.

As the first few years have passed that vision has become a reality for many students who have taken advantage of the opportunity and the challenges set before them.

Through a partnership with both Pueblo Community College and Colorado State University-Pueblo, many of our students are currently enrolled and flourishing in college courses at both campuses. As our students look to the future and see great promise and growth, our school as well will be undergoing great promise and growth.

In the fall of 2008, the doors to a state-of-the-art facility will open as the new home of the Scorpions. Along with the new facility we will be launching an updated DHPH website in Febuary, 2008. Don’t forget to return to see our new look.
